No matter the path of my flower journey, I always return to roses. The very first flower of my memories are the climbing roses in the front garden of my childhood home. My mother would tend to them well and year after year, they would yield a bounty of blooms. I wanted to do those roses justice and took the better part of one year studying and creating roses. I look forward to the challenges of re-inventing the process to create the subtle shapes and flow of the petals and foliage.
The Garden Rose is handcrafted from Italian crepe papers and coloured with various techniques to achieve lifelike qualities.
